To assess the effectiveness of current practice management skills training in residency, we examined the confidence levels of family medicine residents and recent graduates in practice management skills. The three-year curriculum is designed to provide excellent training in all the core areas of family medicine while allowing residents to tailor their experience to their individual interests and needs. During this rotation, you will rotate through the multiple specialty clinics within the Department of Family Medicine including Suboxone Clinic, Diabetes Clinic, COPD Clinic, Minor Surgery Clinic, Women’s Health Clinic, Acupuncture Clinic, and Vasectomy Clinic. Our residency has a strong base in medicine and pediatrics but also provides excellent training in behavioral health, sports medicine, maternity care and women’s health. On Wednesday afternoons, all residents gather for didactic training which includes lectures, workshops, self-directed learning, and other scholarly sessions.
